This is Wintertime Fudge.  We were excited to be able to purchase this extra-fine shetland ram as a lamb in the Autumn of 2009.  This photo was taken May 2009 - Fudge is a yearling in this photo.  We sent in his fleece sample this spring and it tested out at AFD of 17.7, SD of 4.1, CV of 23.2%, %<15 microns 22.9%, and comfort factor of 99.8%.   Astounding results.   His first lambs are on the ground this spring and we are extremely happy with them.

Update:  Fudge's fleece was retested in March, 2010 and the results were AFD = 21.1, SD = 5.2, CV = 24%, 8.4% <15 microns, comfort factor of 94.7% , spin fineness = 21.2.  I am extremely pleased with these numbers.  This is the finest fleece ram we have ever used.
This is Drakkar Noir,   a black krunet ram lamb born March, 2010, that I am watching to see how he turns out.   So far his fleece seems extremely soft and fine.  It will be tested in March, 2011.  I like the fact he is spotted and should throw some really nicely marked lambs.  His sire is Wintertime Fudge and his dam is V Creek Guinevere.

Grand Luxe
This is Grand Luxe,  fawn katmoget smirslet ram lamb born March, 2010, that I am watching to see how he turns out.   He is "scurred" meaning he carries the polled gene for rams.  So far his fleece seems extremely soft and fine.  He has the nicest, darkest fawn color I've seen yet in a fawn katmoget.  It will be tested in March, 2011.  I like the fact he is spotted and should throw some really nicely marked lambs.  His sire is Wintertime Fudge and his dam is SheltrgPines Bengal.  (he is a full brother to SheltrgPines Bug)

Look What's New at Sheltering Pines! Cormos!
This is Bear, a colored Cormo!  Colored Cormos were developed from crossbreeding, but this guy is about 15/16 purebred.  Colored Cormos cannot be registered in the Cormo registry.  The registry only accepts white, purebred Cormos.
